• Will I actually be working with you personally, or get handed off to someone else? 

You work directly with me from the first call to launch day. I personally handle your legal filings, build your website, configure your CRM, and develop your social media strategy. I keep my client load intentionally small — never more than 2 or 3 active projects at a time — so every client gets my full focus. • Do I need any technical knowledge?

None. That’s the whole point. I handle every technical aspect — website, CRM, forms, integrations — and hand you something you can actually use. I’ll walk you through everything so you feel completely confident managing it after launch.

• What if the IRS takes a long time to approve my 501(c)(3)?

IRS processing is outside my control, but I submit the strongest possible application to minimize delays. Most Form 1023-EZ applications — which most new rescues qualify for — are approved in 2 to 4 weeks. I build your website, systems, and marketing in parallel so everything is ready the moment your approval arrives.

• What species do you work with?

All of them. Dogs, cats, parrots and exotic birds, reptiles, aquatic animals, rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, ferrets, small mammals — if it has a heartbeat and needs a home, I can build a rescue around it. My systems and legal framework work for any species. The Premium package includes a species-specific expertise consultation, which is especially valuable for exotic, aquatic, or niche rescues that have unique care and intake considerations that generic consultants don’t understand.

• Why does this cost $15,000–$30,000?

Fair question. Let’s be honest about the math first. If you hired each piece separately — a nonprofit attorney, web designer, CRM consultant, social media strategist, QuickBooks setup, and Google Ads specialist — you’d spend $10,000–$24,500 in contractor fees alone. Then you’d spend months coordinating six different people who have never run a rescue and don’t understand why any of it matters.

And in your first year, I unlock over $15,000 in nonprofit grants and discounts on your behalf. The savings practically offset the investment.

But here’s what the spreadsheet doesn’t capture.

Every week you spend stuck on paperwork, wrestling with websites, or trying to figure out what a 501(c)(3) even requires — is a week an animal in your community doesn’t have a rescue to go to. The dog sitting in a kill shelter. The parrot passed between homes because nobody knows what to do with it. The rabbit nobody came for.

You didn’t decide to start a rescue because you wanted to become a web developer, a lawyer, and a marketing strategist. You decided to start one because you can’t walk away from an animal that needs help.

• Can I make payments instead of paying all at once?

Yes. I offer a 3-payment plan — 40% to get started, 30% at the midpoint, and 30% at launch. Bring it up on your strategy call and we’ll work out what fits your situation.

• What if I already have some things in place — like a website or an EIN?

No problem. I can customize the scope around what you already have so you’re only paying for what you actually need. Mention it on your call and we’ll build the right plan together.

• Is my payment tax-deductible?

Because you receive services in return, your consulting fee is not deductible as a charitable donation. However, any additional donation you choose to make to Valleywide Parrot Rescue above and beyond your fee is fully tax-deductible — and deeply appreciated.
